These Are Precious Moments

There are precious moments when the world is so right when you are sharing the same dream and passion with others. The annual All Nations Cup Festival is sure to create such moments.

Probably everybody will remember different happy moments. Maybe you remember this one: It was the Junior Colts Championships and when speaker Eric Blaak announced AJ Kafu as the Gold winner a piercing shriek cut through the air. It was Elisa Grassi who ran to AJ Kafu and his handler Frank Spönle. Both believed so much in this young Shanghai EA son out of AJ Kahayla, like everyone at Ajman Stud, UAE. Silver and Bronze were accomplished to the youngster from Dubai Arabian Horse Stud: D Seraj and D Shallal, both sired by FA El Rasheem.

2018 All Nations Cup will also last a memorable moment for Monica van Duyvebode from the Netherlands. Usually, Monica garners golden ribbons in Western competitions with Erogant. In Aachen, her lovely WH Justice son Erogant (out of Raville) wowed the judges and spectators likewise alongside handler Tom Oben, who led the grey gelding to Gold Champion. Silver went to Aja Alisandro, by EKS Alihandro, owned by Barbera Napier and Alf Hallworth, UK. Emmie Graafland, Belgium, led her bay Marhaabah son Eromanov T to Bronze Championship.

Another special moment is winning a Unanimous Gold Championship at the prestigious All Nations Cup and so did Admiraal (Emerald J x Haniyyah). Bred by Al Muawd Stud, Saudi Arabia, this bay is proudly owned by Ajman Stud, UAE. All judges voted for Admiraal as Gold Champion Yearling Colt with Maher Al Sayed, by Alexxanderr, and D Bareq, by FA El Rasheem, winning Silver and Bronze. All champion winners received a cheque from Albidayer Stud, too, which is supporting the geldings at shows.

The show saw just two classes of senior stallion but – wow – what amazing stallions! And again we saw a unanimous Gold Champion: E.S. Harir (AJ Dinar x TF Magnums Magic) alongside Paolo Capecci. Bred by Sheikh Abdulla Bin Majid Al Qassemi's Emirates Stud, UAE, E.S. Harir is proudly owned by Al Saqran Stud, UAE. Emirates Stud is also the breeder and owner of Bronze winning E.S. Sarab (Marajj x Mahjesty) while Michalow bred Equator (by QR Marc) won Silver, now owned by Al Sheikh Stud.

Best European private bred and owned horse was Equiborn KA (QR Marc x Espadrilla). This glistening white stallion performed excellently and won the class for 4 – 6 years old stallions against E.S. Sarab but was not taken into consideration in the championship.

What about the females? What beautiful yearling fillies! Gold was taken by Ajman Stud's AJ Samara (AJ Mardan x Sama AM) with SS La Bella, by Calypso OS, bred by Ottoman Arabians, USA, and proudly owned by Al Saqran Stud winning Silver. Bronze went to D Shihanah, by FA El Rasheem.

The Gold Champion Junior Filly was bred in Australia but is now owned by Al Muawd Stud, Saudi Arabia: The Allegiance MI daughter Venica MI out of Valentine MI. Silver was accomplished by Al Khashab Stud's Rshediah Alkhashab while Seranza, by Kanz Albidayer, won Bronze for Al Sheikh Stud.

Absolutely stunning Aachen moments are the senior female classes – always! Don't you think so?! This year was no exception. Polish bred beauties won all classes and the championship was a really spectacular line-up. In the end, a pearl from Qatar was one step ahead: The Marwan Al Shaqab daughter Rihab Al Nasser out of Remal Al Nasser bred and owned by Al Nasser Stud. A precious moment for the Al Nasser team as they won this title the second year in a row. Last years winner was Anood Al Nasser, both mares are from the great Dyn Aliah family. Michalow mares earned Silver and Bronze with Pustynia Kahila (by Kahil Al Shaqab) and Galerida (by Shanghai EA).

The Lifetime Achievement Award was assuredly another memorable moment. This year, the award was given to Swiss zoologist Ursula Rahm who was involved in the breeding of Arabian horses for being the Swiss member of the disciplinary committee at many shows around the world, i.e. the World Arabian Horse Championship in Paris in 2000. Mrs. Rahm is also a Honorary Member of the ECAHO standing at the beginnings of ECAHO and acted as DC, worked in the Executive Committee and Commissions and many years as the Treasurer of ECAHO.
