Future Stars

Foals and yearlings are the future stars of the breed. The Arabian Futurity Europe Cup for foals and yearlings meanwhile has quite a history in Aachen. The Futurities opened the ANC Festival with a team of six internationally renowned and experienced breeders or stud managers assessing the participants: Mieke Sans, Belgium, Janina Merz, USA, Diego Puentes, Uruguay, Gerard Paty, South Africa, Ali Ghanem al Mazrouei, UAE, and Ali Darawshi, Israel. "We have decided not to use the common judges from the ECAHO list," says organizer Gregor Aymar. "A lot of these judges do not breed anymore but we prefer judges who are active and experienced breeders while pursuing no political aims."

This year, for the first time four championships were given with a total prize money jackpot of 65.000 Euro.

Al Mohamadia Stud, Saudi Arabia, bred and owned the lovely gold winning Gold Champion Filly: Jameela AM, sired by RFI Farid out of Deem AM (Abha Qatar x Abha Opalina), tracing back to famous Estopa. It was a tied decision between this bay and Silver winning Malala Apal S (by ES Sarab), bred and owned by the Lievrouw-Seynhaeve family, Belgium. This filly is out of RA Anila Apal, tracing back to another important European broodmare supreme: Saskia RJ. The Bronze winner MM Alegria, by MM Jabari, is bred and owned by Mario Matt from Austria. MM Alegria's dam Aruba RTA offers lines to Ali Jamaal and Bey Shah and is tracing back to Spanish lines in tail female.

RFI Farid is also the sire of Gold Champion Colt Turki Al Baydaa, bred and owned by Ahmed El Talawy, Egypt. The dam of this bay colt is straight Egyptian bred Turkiz AA (Al Ayal AA x JPJ Talsasha). Knocke Arabians' is the proud breeder and owner of Silver winner Nazeem KA (Montana Firenze x Nadira KA), tracing back to Polish bred Flamenca (Banat x Furda). The Shanghai EA son CP Djuliano accomplished Bronze, bred and owned by Claudia Polte-Welber, Germany. The colt is out of Djasira Princess Psytadel of Spanish roots, also the dam of championship winning AJ Djamilja.

Polish bloodlines combined with the influence of Gazal Al Shaqab, this is the pedigree of Gold Champion Yearling Filly Why Not DA, bred and owned by Danubis Arabians, Belgium. Her sire is Emerald J and the dam Wonder Girl is out of Wolyn daughter Wolynianka. The English stud farm Arabians Imperial happily received the Silver medal for its Aja Angelo daughter Duchess Amaiyaa DMC out of Amaliaa, by Magic Magnifique while Knocke Arabians accomplished Bronze with Pearl Eden KA, by their legendary sire QR Marc out of Prisma de Lafon, by WH Justice and back to Russian Papouchka.

Al Saqran Stud not only won the ANC Gold Champion Senior Stallion with ES Harir, but this amazing stallion is also the sire of Gold Champion Yearling Colt SQ Sager. The dam is CS Amay, by Royal Colours. Again Knocke Arabians won Silver, this time with Poseidon KA, out of Primera Marc. The sire of this fine colt is Equiborn KA, who was named "Best private bred and owned horse" of the ANC and won the strong class of four to six years old stallions of the All Nations Cup the very same weekend. Bronze-winning Moncino DD also came from Belgium, bred and owned by Dirk Dejonckheere. Sired by Fayad Al Fayyad, Moncino DD's dam is Lady Cassandra DD, by Psytadel out of Monogrammed Lady, tracing back to Polish bred Gilza.
