A Four-Leaved Clover of Precious Metal

A silver shimmering grey and a charming chestnut mare were two leaves of the four-leaved clover of precious metal accomplished by Athbah Stud, owned by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. In the senior mare championship, Athbah Stud celebrated a double success by winning Gold and Silver with Meqbilat Athbah (QR Marc x Martinique J) and Tarfah Athbah (EKS Alihandro x Ermina). Both are no newcomers to the showring; Meqbilat Athbah is also a champion producer. Arabian horse enthusiasts will remember her son Gabel Athbah, by EKS Alihandro, 2018 World Gold Champion Junior Colt.

Athbah horses won two Bronze, too, at the Asharqia Horse Classic, held as part of the second edition of the Asharqia Arabian Horse Festival, under the patronage of Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province. The very promising filly Qanwaa (Sabea Al Sahraa x Nora Athbah) achieved Bronze Champion Yearling Filly while Hays Athbah (Eden C x Mawee Athbah) was awarded Bronze Champion Senior Stallion.

The most determined and successful competitor was Al Kahlediah Stables; horses bred or owned by this farm have won six medals, two Gold, Silver, and Bronze each. While Silver Champion Yearling Colt Sadeh Al Khalediah (Razi Al Khalediah x Evening Fantasy) is now proudly owned by Al Majd Stud, the other four Al Khalediah champions still belong to their breeder, HRH Prince Khaled bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The grey Baanderos daughter Halalat Al Khalediah (x Halah Al Khalediah III) was the first to strike by winning Silver Champion Yearling Filly, followed by a Bronze awarded to Asrar Al Khalediah (Razi Al Khalediah x Bint Al Khalidiah). Bronze was also given to Anod Al Khalediah (Marquis CAHR x KL Psparkle) in the senior mares championship.

Al Khalediah Stables' young Wajeh Al Khalediah (x Bushra Al Khalidiah) achieved Gold Champion Junior Colt. His sire is again the 2010 born Razi Al Khalediah, by 2011 World Champion Stallion Marquis CAHR, representing the Marwan Al Shaqab sire line. Razi's dam Halah combines the valuable lines of Madinah and Victoria II HPS. The second Gold medal for Al Khalediah Stables' was achieved by senior stallion Yassoup Al Muawd (Shanghai EA X Alishya).

The Asharqia Arabian Horse Classic is a part of the Asharqia Arabian Horse Festival, held at the Dharan Expo in Dammam, located in the center of the Gulf area; its particular key source market is wide and covers the Eastern Province, the Saudi Arabia market, Bahrain, Kuwait, and all the Gulf area. The venue is a convenient self-contained setting, spread over an area of 100,000 square meters. The festival celebrates the history and important heritage of the Arabian horse in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Congratulations to all the competitors. Arabian Horse Global Network would like to extend thanks for the excellent collaboration. It is always a pleasure to visit this country and its passionate breeders.
