Gold - Silver - Bronze

One year after the 40. Anniversary, Flaxman Arabians celebrated an amazing success at the Belgian Nationals. Gold, Silver, and Bronze Senior Champion Stallion – three beautiful greys - are owned by Kay and Helen Hennekens of Flaxman Arabians. Besides, the Flaxman bred filly Flaxman's Pandora garnered Gold in the Junior Fillies while son Koen Hennekens accomplished first place with Esfahan in the Liberty class. Not to forget the Silver Champion Senior Mare garnered by Magnola KA.

In 2018, Etoryk was named Bronze Champion Senior Stallion at the Belgian Nationals. Now he returned to the show ring and garnered Gold. Bred by Janow Podlaski, the stallion is sired by Om El Shahmaan Etoryk's dam 2011 European Bronze Champion Senior Mare Etnologia (Gazal Al Shaqab x Etalanta) was the second-highest price lot at the 2012 Pride of Poland Sale (370.000 €).

Silver winner Abbar saw the first light of the day in Poland, too. Bred by Bialka in 2006, Abbar is a paternal grandson of recently deceased Ecaho through his sire Salar. Abbar's dam Abba is by Pesal.

The third Flaxman stallion was also bred by the Hennekens family, FA Napoli (WH Justice x Accona Shael FF). The young stallion, he was born in 2015, recently accomplished Gold at the Arabian Horse Event in Bruges.

The Junior Filly Championship was a close decision, both Gold and Silver winner received 9 points from the judges, but Flaxman's Pandora had the higher marks in her age class so Gold went to her. Born in 2017, Flaxman's Pandora combines WH Justice and Enzo in her pedigree through her sire MM Sergio and her dam QR Sarah. Silver Champion Junior Filly was given to Knocke Arabians yearling filly, the Psytadel daughter Estara KA out of Estokada KA while the three years old Charlies Angel (QR Marc x Atheena) was awarded Bronze. This filly is bred and owned by Wenche Roefs.

The decision in the Junior Colt Championship was unanimous. Gold-winning FM Marshall is by QR Marc and out of FM Dohaa who is a maternal granddaughter of FM Gloriaa, one of the most exciting WH Justice daughters who competed successfully on the highest level, winning at Aachen, in Paris, and at the European Championships as a junior and senior mare. Bred by Flanders Midwest Arabians she established a valuable line.

Silver winning Morgan J (Emerald J x Magnificent Lady J) is from another globally well-known breeding program, Jadem Arabians. Bronze was given to Knocke Arabians Magesty KA (Eden C x Magnums Rose) who came second in his age class while the class winner and high scorer of all juniors Raina Solaimon (Magic Magnifique x Raina Cataleya) was not considered

The highest score of the show received the WH Justice daughter Szakira out of Splendida, bred and owned by DB Arabians. This striking mare accomplished Unanimous Gold Champion Senior Mare in Spa-Francorchamps a few weeks earlier. Her sire needs no introduction, Szakira's Polish bred dam Splendida is by multiple show winner and Ecaho 4 Star Stallion Wadim and out of Szansa. Next to Szakira, Splendida produced two more National Champions, Suzanna, by Ekstern, and Serena, by Om El Shahmaan.

Silver and Bronze were given to two QR Marc daughters, both bred by Knocke Arabians. The lovely Magnola KA (owned by Flaxman Arabians) is out of FS Magnum Madonna and received Silver while Phirouettes, out of Polenta, won Bronze for Knocke Arabians.

The Belgian Nationals also saw several amateur and performance classes, i.e. the well-filled Trail In-Hand with a happy winner Heleen Ceuppens and chestnut NH Fahd Arcu (Nibakan El Jerez x NH Jamilla). The team presented a nearly perfect round. Also, they became second in Trail Ridden, third in Classic Pleasure, and won the Hunter Pleasure class. That's fun with an Arabian horse!

Congratulations to all the competitors. Arabian Horse Global Network would like to extend thanks to the Belgian Studbook BAPS for the excellent collaboration.
