Championship Kick Off

Breeders of purebred Arabian horses compete for glory and AED15 million (USD 4 million) in prize money at Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship. Among the competitors are amazing four-legged celebrities like Elle Flamenca, HDM Maria Apal, Madinat Al Baydaa or Excalibur EA.

Global and regional players in the equine industry are set to converge at the 13th Dubai International Horse Fair and 14th Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship, which kick off tomorrow (Thursday, 16 March). Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, the events run until 18 March 2017 at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

The Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship, which will see purebred Arabian horses competing for glory and AED15 million (USD 4 million) in prize money. Open only to Arabian thoroughbreds from some of the finest stables and breeders in the region, the competition judges the horses’ beauty, agility and heritage. The three-day event culminates in the Championship classes for the most exquisite horses.

Meanwhile, at the Dubai International Horse Fair, more Arabians of fabulous pedigrees will be auctioned off to the highest bidders. Held on the second day of the show, horses of superior lineage will be on sale and the event is anticipated to attract hundreds of breeders and buyers from the region.
