Parade Of Beauties

Famous artists always made their subjects appear grander, more universal, more important than life. Their aesthetic perception exposed not only on the painted canvas but found several ways. Following the parade of beauties in the showring of Menton it seems a sculptor of outstandingly imaginative skills created something gorgeous, radiant and beaming out - just to enjoy the public.

For most of the year the French Riviera town of Menton is a sleepy and tranquil place but every year the town shows a real zest for life when it becomes the host of the Mediterranean and Arab Countries Arabian Horse Championship. On Saturday, 01.July the show started with the female classes and celebrated the beauty of the fillies and mares.

The first class of the day already saw high points. The SMA Magic One daughter Sweira Aljassimya won the yearling fillies A by far with 92,88 points, followed by D Wasayef, by Wadee Al Shaqab with 91,50 points.

Dubai Arabian Horse Stud took away the first in the following classes. D Mumayyazah, by FA El Rasheem won the yearling fillies B with 91,88 points; Alsayed Stud’s Haifa ED, by Kahil Al Shaqab became second.

D Jawaher, again a FA El Rasheem daughter, won fillies 2 years old A (91,63) with Kamouneh Al Zobair, by RFI Farid second (91,50). The winner of fillies 2 years B was the female four-legged Midas: D Ajayeb. This RFI Farid daughter won literally everything last show season, including Menton Gold Champion Yearling Filly. Now she came back for more and received 92,88 points with Wadee Al Shaqab daughter Belladonna AT (92,75), bred and owned by Al Thumama Stud, a deserved runner-up.

Al Khashab Stud was delighted to see their three years old filly Malikat Al Moluk, by Mameluk, winning with 92,50 points. Because the outstanding U.S. National Champion Junior Filly Mozn Albidayer, by SMA Magic One, were close behind with just 0,25 points less.

The fillies ensured a sensational opener for the show and so it continued by the mares. Alsayed Stud’s Delight’s Diva RB wowed the judged and received 93,13 points in the class for 4 to 6 years old mares. Back in 2015, this chestnut Ajman Moniscione daughter was Menton Gold Champion Junior Filly; now she is longing for the senior title. Well-known show stopper like Galerida (92,75), Elle Flamenca (92,13), and Aja Europe (92,00) finished behind Delight’s Diva RB.

The last highlight of today was the class for 7 years + mares. Simply sophisticated Shirin by Aisha turned out to be the high score with 94,00 points; including a full range of 20’s for type, head and neck and movement for this WH Justice daughter. Congratulation to the proud owner Athba Stud and Shirin’s breeder Guriolo Andrea, Italy. Al Nasser Stud’s Ashhal Al Rayyan daughter Anood Al Nasser ended up second with 92,63 points and EKS Shakira, bred by Willie Brown and owned by the Royal Cavalry of Oman, became third with 92,00 points.

The show will continue on Sunday morning, 9 am CET with the yearling colts. Championships and Special Awards will start at 3 pm CET. Stay tuned and though the show applies comply with dress code it is easy to enjoy the parade of amazing Arabian horses live and the relaxed atmosphere.
