The Region 7 Championship show is the first Regional of the season. The annual event takes place each year at WestWorld of Scottsdale located in the heart of Scottsdale, Arizona. WestWorld opened in 1987 featuring ten arenas, 1,200 permanent stalls and a multi-purpose exhibit space, the Equidome. In early 2010, WestWorld set out to modernize and expand the Equidome, now known as the Tony Nelssen Equestrian Center, with a $56 million renovation. Scottsdale is referred to by many as meca of the Arabian horse business housing some of the most famous Arabian horse facilities in the world. Region 7 is one of the leading Regional shows in the nation, attracting both local and national competitors.
In the last few years, the show has attracted owners and exhibitors from 28 states and Canada. Over 600 horses compete for the prestigious Region 7 title. It is truly an event with exciting competition, youth friendly activities, parties, education and great fun for all disciplines and levels of competition
